Facilitators, Barriers, and Best Practices for In-Person and Telehealth Lactation Support During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Department of Nutrition, Simmons University
How they used Delve
Nutrition researchers at Simmons University imported verbatim Zoom transcripts of interviews with 14 Massachusetts lactation support professionals into Delve, coded them with an a priori framework that the team revised as concepts emerged, double coded every transcript with two team members, and resolved discrepancies among three members before building the codebook.
“Verbatim transcripts were imported into Delve (Twenty to Nine, 2022) for coding. We began with an a priori descriptive coding framework based on the questions from our qualitative interview guide. [...] All transcripts were double coded by two distinct members of the research team and reviewed, and any coding discrepancies were resolved among three members of the research team.”
