Developing Empathy in Middle and High School Adult Educators within Multicultural Contexts

How they used Delve

A doctoral candidate at the University of Memphis used Delve to code interviews with eight middle- and high-school educators on developing empathy in multicultural classrooms, building inductive categories and sub-categories and applying them across all eight transcripts in a thematic analysis.

“The researcher used Delve (delvetool.com, 2025) for qualitative data analysis for this study. When the transcriptions were reviewed and updated for accuracy and precision, each was uploaded to Delve. Delve maintained organization of the transcripts and created a secure place to begin the iterative coding process. [...] Once several transcripts were categorized, Delve assisted by applying the categories and sub-categories to all eight transcripts used for data analysis.”
