How they used Delve

A Master of Arts student in the School of Public Management, Governance and Public Policy at the University of Johannesburg used Delve to code and analyze interviews with six officials of the Midvaal Local Municipality on the role and effectiveness of accountability mechanisms in promoting good governance, in a case study with content analysis.

“To better manage and document the research process, the researcher used the Delve Tool, a computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software program (Sinkovics & Alfoldi 2012:4). As such, the description of the data gathered through the transcription of the individual interviews was coded and analysed using this data analysis program. The Delve Tool has a code-and-retrieve feature that helps with qualitative data management”
