Content analysis studies that used Delve
Content analysis studies in Delve range from a handful of practitioner interviews to corpora of several hundred documents. Scoping and realist reviews are a distinctive use here: research teams in nursing, occupational health, and pharmacy have coded the included studies themselves in Delve rather than extracting into a spreadsheet.
Documents are the most common data in this method, more than in any other: policy texts, published studies, curricula, student submissions, and video transcripts. Interviews and focus groups make up most of the rest. Nearly half of these papers describe multiple coders, and a number report code frequencies alongside the categories.
In Delve, content analysis usually starts with a codebook, whether built from a framework or drafted after a first read of the data, and then applied across transcripts or documents. Nested codes hold the category hierarchy. Code counts by transcript or by descriptor support the frequency reporting that summative and directed studies include.
