How they used Delve

A doctoral candidate at the University of Miami used Delve to code interviews with six Black men about their journeys to medical school, working line by line with in vivo and descriptive coding in a Moustakas-style transcendental phenomenological study.

“Then, the researcher uploaded the interview transcripts into Delve Tool, a software for coding qualitative research which also requires a unique username and password. The researcher engaged in the first coding cycle by reviewing the transcription line by line using Delve Tool to code the data. The researcher used both in vivo coding and descriptive coding during the first cycle”
